HP Spain have announced a new smartbook, the Compaq Airlife 100, a netbook with stylish form factor, 10.1-inch touch screen and integrated 3G. While HP does not spill the beans on the chipset 100, Airlife, last we heard they were playing with Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon, it seems a reasonable assumption.
Elsewhere there is a 16GB SSD with WiFi and 3G connectivity, while HP also have the long legs smartbook is frugal enough to last 12 hours on one charge. Another possibility is the point of waiting 10 days.
From the photos, it is obvious that there is a webcam and an SD card slot, along with some useful shortcut keys around the trackpad, HP also has loaded its own user interface touchscreen. According to the company, the Compaq Airlife 100 will hit Europe this spring, as a grant agreement with the telephone company. Not a word of a U.S. launch or any other pricing information.
