I mentioned that Wisair has a wireless docking station for Mac comes in March. It appears that many manufacturers will harness the support of the new Mac hardware Wisair. InFocus has announced a new system that enables Macs and PCs to connect wirelessly using Wisair technology projectors.

The system is called the Wireless InFocus DisplayLink system. It includes a USB transmitter that plugs into the computer and a USB receiver that plugs into the back of InFocus projectors compatible. The system eliminates the need to send different video adapters MacBook or PC to the projector.

The system allows the Mac or PC systems send video and audio to the projector through a USB port. The device has a wireless range of 30 feet and supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1152 HD video and 720p. I wager that the system uses the same chips inside DisplayDock as I mentioned earlier.

One of the bright spots of CES 2010 was the scene of the projector. Home theater, games and 3D projectors were abundant. This peak projectors that are getting brighter, higher resolution, and add innovative touches.

Although television is showing at CES generate the most buzz in the 3D, we were pleased to see also the introduction of several 3D projectors ready for home-theater and educational use. The PJD6531w ViewSonic is a 3,000 lumen DLP projector capable of 2D or 3D operation.

It is designed for table use, but can also be mounted on a roof for use in a classroom or meeting room. Along with the peak projectors listed below, Optoma announced the first two models in its line of projectors Gametime. Both the GT360 and GT720 are 3D ready and optimized for use with gaming platforms, the Nintendo Wii to the GT360 and GT720 for the Wii, Microsoft Xbox and Sony PlayStation. Sanyo plans to launch half a dozen more clever 3D projectors in the first six months of 2010.

Now, at the Peaks. Microvision demos of the production version of its ShowWX expected, the first peak laser projector we’ve seen. He still has some kinks to iron, but the laser projectors have a great advantage over other technologies: it is necessary to focus them, never, because of the nature of laser light parallel.

Optoma 3M and everyone went away with its third generation of pico projectors. 3M Pocket Projector MPro150 showed her on the basis of its predecessor, MPro120, offering both a built-in memory and micro SD card slot, 15 lumens brightness rating and a suite of applications for business and recreation. Acer responded with a pair of projectors peak, PK201 and PK301, both with 854-by-480 native resolution (16:9 aspect ratio widescreen).

The PK201, Optoma, which he sees as a companion for mobile devices, is valued at 20 lumens in bright mode, 10 lumens in standard mode. Optoma Bills PK301 as a business tool, a companion for netbooks projection, which cites a brightness of 50 lumens when using AC power, 20 with battery power. Even 20 lumens are considerably brighter than previous generation models.

Favi Entertainment is also introducing a light projector 50-peak business, RIOL Favi-Q, and a consumer counterpart, the RIOL-V. The latter is a model for WiFi that uses Linux to run web applications, the company sees it as a hybrid projector / media player.

HD resolution projectors Peak is still a dream, but can not be far off. Syndiant, a manufacturer of high-resolution microdisplays Pico Projector, partnered with Foryou Electronics Multimedia to a prototype demonstration of 1024-by-600-shirt pocket projector [(see picture on this blog entry) designed for use with relatively high-resolution devices like laptops.

One accessory that creates a lot of buzz at CES is the host of BlackBerry. When connected to a projector or monitor, this adapter allows people to run a PowerPoint presentation directly from your BlackBerry smartphone.

We are looking forward to testing and review this BlackBerry and many more of these projectors as they become available. We hope that the reality live up to its promise.

Another cool new technology just surfaced during CES week. Casio has just announced a new slimline projector that does away with those nasty mercury based light bulbs and replaces them with a combination of LED, laser and fluorescent illumination.

And unlike those LED mini projectors, this is a serious projector, pumping out a whopping peak brightness of 3000 lumens! The new hybrid light source manages to combine these multiple light sources to produce a super bright image. Blue lasers produces both blue and green colors, while the LED punches out red. All of these are combined and pushed through a TI DLP chip, at resolutions up to 1280 x 800.

The Green Slim projectors are about the size of a sheet of letter-size paper, stand about 1.7″ tall, and weight about 5 pounds. While that’s nowhere nearly as small as pico-projectors, there’s no comparison when it comes to brightness and resolution.

Casio plans on releasing several models of the projector, including 2000, 2500, and 3000 lumen variants, as well as lower resolution models which will assuredly be the least expensive. The top of the line models can also receive data wirelessly from up to 4 PCs.

The first of the Green Slim projectors is set to hit the streets this March for around $799.99 (USD), so if you’re in the market for a new data or gaming projector, you might want to wait to check these out when they’re released.

Yamaha YSP-3050BL Digital Sound Projector offers multi-channel sound that surrounds listeners the same sound from the front, center and rear speakers. Movies on DVD and other digital sources sound just the way it is supposed to. Dolby Pro Logic II is included, so even 2-channel television can be heard on several glorious surround. Yamaha YSP-3050BL is a powerful and efficient digital amplifier built in. It powers the 21 beam drivers 2W each and two woofers, 20 W each, for a total of 82 W of power. No need for a customer purchases additional amplifier or receiver, so that the system is compact and inexpensive.

Yamaha YSP-3050BL applies this sophisticated technology to precisely control the orientation of sound by focusing it through multiple beams. The center channel sound is heard directly, while sounds from other channels are heard after reflecting off the walls. The result is multi-channel surround sound that sounds like a multi-speaker system – but without the need for extra speakers!

Yamaha YSP-3050BL provides upconversion of composite video and component signals to HDMI. The signal can be output via an HDMI cable to a monitor for enjoying high-definition video quality. 1080p/24Hz output media and 60Hz video signals, so that performance can be a monitor to enjoy a quality HD video.

Yamaha YSP-3050BL provides composite analog video upscaling 480i signal and component 480i or 480p signals to HDMI 1080i/720p resolutions for optimal viewing on high definition displays. It uses advanced video processing, including encoding / decoding ICs from Analog Devices and a TBC (Time Base Corrector) to restore degraded video signals for distortion-free viewing.
